Youth
Message from Luke, Youth Outreach Worker at Stamford Methodist Church:
I am Luke Denley the Youth Outreach Worker here at Stamford Methodist Church. Having been to Bible College to study theology, I felt a call to work for the church and at the moment that call is to youth work. I am passionate to see young people grow in their faith and have a relationship with God. My ministry here involves schools work, college chaplaincy, leading work on a Sunday with the young people and circuit youth events. THE SHACK on Stamford Recreation Ground is our new venue for engaging with young people in Stamford, and gives 11 - 16 year olds a place to find fun, friendship, food and individual support when life is a mess. A meeting place for after school activities and games.
I am keen to work ecumenically where possible and my role lends itself to working with other church’s and organisations.
Message from Sarah:
I believe that the friendship of being a Christian, and our circuit activities are intended to foster bonds of friendship, which will allow our young people to share their experiences and try and make some sense of the world in which we live. I also like elephant jokes J.

The Shack
Our outpost for 11 - 16 year olds on Stamford Recreation Ground is open 3pm - 5:15pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. A place to find fun, friendship, food, individual support & mentoring.
This is a newly acquired, purpose built facility for engagement with young people on the edge of Stamford’s Recreation Ground, near the Skate Park. We provide an after school/college facility in a safe space that is an extension of existing chaplaincy services to local schools and New College Stamford. With a variety of activities, food
and friendship undergirded by Christian standards & values, we offer the love of Christ in relevant ways to youngsters who may have had no contact with traditional church, and are ready to speak about Christianity with those who wish.
