When we began fund raising for the refurbishment of our church in 2005 we felt it right to give 10% of what we raised to help other churches overseas, particularly in Sierra Leone where one of our ministers had served for 5 years. When the refurbishment costs had all been met we decided to carry on raising money for other Christian works and established a Mission Projects Group to do this. Our current target is £15000 a year, most of which is sent overseas.
Special fund raising events are held regularly to publicise and raise funds for worthy organisations. Some of these are evangelistic in nature, some amusing, some cultural & musical. They vary from concerts by world class choirs and musicians to our annual family fun day and dog show on Stamford Meadows. All these events are of a high standard and are often enjoyable sociable occasions.
