Stamford Methodist Church

​​Welcome to Second Helpings!

  

This is a community café, established in 2015 to intercept perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste, and use it to feed hungry bellies instead of landfill tips!

 

The café is run by a team of volunteers who turn the rescued food into delicious, nutritious meals that are available to all diners on a Pay-As-You-Feel basis – your choice is to donate whatever value you feel your food was worth and this can be in the form of money or time, if you would like to help as a one-time or regular volunteer.

We can be found in the Church Hall every Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. This can be accessed from Barn Hill or North Street.

You can also take food away from our pay-as-you-feel food pantry 10:30am - 2pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays, and at any time from our community fridge in the passageway under the Church (What3words location fallen.manual.slip)
